Outfit: Nifty Neons

I love wearing new clothes as soon as I get them, don’t you? I just picked up these summery neon hues from ModCloth.

Though I’m not usually much of an “arm party” person — bracelets get in the way of my typing — I did find that I had quite a few fun arm accessories to wear with this outfit, including the fabric-wrapped bangle I made from a For the Makers box and my favorite Timex.

Also: my hair is getting really long. It is now past my shoulders. It hasn’t been this long since high school! So, I’ve resorted to a few of my favorite high school hair styles, like the above “hair buns.” I used to wear these all the time when I was too lazy to straighten my hair. I also affectionately call them my “bear ears” because they remind me of the cute round ears of my favorite animals.

Outfit: Lacy Green & Polka Dot Pink

green & pink

Add 2-3 feet of snow to the ground and Manic Panic in Rock ‘N’ Roll Red to my hair, and you’ll have what this photo would look like if I took it today. As part of my ongoing struggle goal to be organized, Stan and I took these photos a few weeks ago, prior to the 10 or so snowstorms Mother Nature has gifted us with.

I’m a big fan of this chunky pink polka dot scarf, which Scarlett gave me for Yule-mas. She knows her Auntie well!

cardigan back

Oh, and the back of this cardigan from Anthropologie has the prettiest lace detail, doesn’t it?

Pick my Red Carpet Oscar Night dress!

Okay readers. My cousin is having a fancy Red Carpet Oscar Night party on Sunday, and I can’t choose between two dresses! Will you help?

Oscar red carpet choice 1 - pink flapper dress

Dress #1 – Hot pink flapper dress. You might remember it from my 1920′s Murder Mystery birthday last year. I was thinking I could do a Hollywood flashback, you know?

I love all the sequins and fringe!

Oscar red carpet choice 2 - chocolate prom dress

Dress #2 – Chocolate lace prom gown. I wore this to my senior prom, and I’m happy to say it still fits! Actually, I think it fits even better than it did in 2005. The best part? I bought it at a Goodwill for less than $15.

The back detail is gorgeous — buttons, lace, velvet, and stitched swirls. Here I am wearing it for prom photos:

So, what do you think? #1 or #2? Leave a comment with your dress choice below. Get your vote in by Saturday, February 23rd and on Sunday, I’ll wear the dress with the most votes!
