Valentine’s Day is around the corner. So while Stan and I were stuck inside yesterday due to Winter Storm Juno, I snuck into my office for a while to make these hand-stamped kraft paper Valentines. They’re easy to make, and are a cute idea if you’ve got kiddies in school — they can make these for their classmates!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- kraft paper
- acrylic paint – this is a great starter set from Michael’s
- a cork (could be recycled from a wine bottle)
- adhesive foam sheet
- paint brush
- dish/palette for paint
Step One: Draw a small heart on the sticky back foam. You’ll be sticking this to the cork so make sure it’s small enough to fit.
Step Two: Cut out the heart, peel off the sticky paper, and stick it to the cork. Try to get it as centered as possible.
Step Three: Cut an 8½” x 11″ sheet of kraft paper in half and fold each half into cards.
Step Four: Mix up your paint colors, paint them on your heart stamp, and stamp away!
You can make lots of different designs.
