Friday Faves: Rainbow Edition

I thought I’d so something different with my Friday Faves for a change. :)

Red: I have so many red things that I love, and this awesome vintage purse is the latest. I scored it for only $6 at Brazen Betties!
Orange: I love this Apricot mineral eyeshadow from Madison Street Beauty. Bridget’s handmade eyeshadows are vegan, hypoallergenic, chemical-free, fragrance-free, and oil & talc free. Plus, they never expire!
Yellow: You may remember my Tulle Yellow-So-Cute Coat I got from ModCloth. So happy I’ll be able to wear this again soon!
Green: My Bamboo & Sugar Cane cupcake soap is next in line for me to use in the shower! I love this fresh and slightly sweet scent.
Blue: I love all of the non-toxic nail polishes I bought from Priti NYC, but Blue Wedgewood may be my fave.
Purple: Since I know rainbows are technically 7 colors {Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet}, my pick for purple has a little indigo and violet in it. I wore this awesome striped/floral scarf from Forever 21 twice this week! Sabrina would be so proud.

Crosspost from Jennie Fresa: How to cure chapped lips

I published this today on the Jennie Fresa blog.

Even though there hasn’t been any snow this winter, we’ve certainly felt the effects of the season, especially on our lips! Dry, cracked, chapped lips are very common during cold months due to cold winds and the lack of moisture in the air. Here are a few ways to keep your lips happy:

1. Drink water. It’s always important to keep your body hydrated, but especially during the winter when the air is so dry. Drink lots of water and other fluids, and run a humidifier in your home if you find that you often wake up with a sore throat.

2. Apply lip balm regularly. A lip balm made with natural waxes and oils is a must-have during the winter. My Coco Balm is a good choice because it’s made with Candelilla Wax, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Certified Organic Jojoba Oil, and Vitamin E Oil — all skin-nourishing, natural ingredients. You can buy Coco Balm in my Etsy shop, at Jennie Fresa, or Brazen Betties.

3. Use a lip exfoliant. Many of us exfoliate our face, feet, and other areas of dry skin, but we don’t always remember to exfoliate our lips! Here’s an easy and natural lip scrub DIY I found on Pinterest:

New products available in the Etsy shop

The products I introduced at the Manchester Craft Fair are now available in my Etsy shop! Say hello to Bath Truffles, Coco Balm, and Jars of Frosting.

Bath Truffles are mini bath bombs packaged {in a 100% recycled box} to look like truffles! They come in sets of four and are available in five fragrances: Ginger Soufflé, Lavender {made with lavender essential oil}, Party!, Pink Sugar, and Vanilla Bean.

Coco Balm is vegan lip balm made entirely from natural ingredients. The name “Coco” comes from two of its chief ingredients: Certified Organic Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil.

Jars of Frosting — you know the scrumptious buttercream-scented soap frosting that tops my cupcake soaps? I’ve super-whipped it, mixed in some jojoba beads, and bottled it up! Jars of Frosting are available in 8oz recyclable plastic jars.

American & Pumpkin Pie cupcake soaps in the shop

Just in time for Fall, I’ve added two yummy pie-scented cupcake soaps to the Poor & Pretty shop: American Pie & Pumpkin Pie. The scents are very realistic, so please don’t eat them :)

Is there anything more American than apple pie? Well, probably, as apple pie dates back before the European colonization of America, but still. This cupcake soap is spot-on — slightly tart and sweet cinnamon, apples, sugar and that delicious pie crust, warm from the oven. Topped with blue and red jojoba beads.

My friend Jordan’s favorite, pumpkin pie is a signature fall dessert. Sweet cream pumpkin paired with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, ginger and rounded out with buttery vanilla. Hurry, before Jordan buys them all! <3

Note: As of right now, these are only listed in the Big Cartel shop, not on Etsy.
