I Line Her.

1. Benefit, Eye Bright-  This fat pencil is a pale pink color used to “brighten” up tired eyes.  I love it.  I think it totally works.  To use it says ” apply a stroke to the inner and outer corners of each eye and blend” $20 (Sephora)

2. Tokidoki eyeliner in Adios Apple-  It’s dazzling!  Just what I’ve been looking for.  I wanted a violet color with a silver glitter and found this guy at Sephora. Soooooo cute! $14

3. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Electric-  AMAZING color!  This liner is soooo bright and it goes on super easy but is also waterproof and stays well.  It’s a bright iridescent teal. <3 $17 @ Sephora

4. MAC Penultimate Eyeliner in Rapidblack-  This felt tip eye liner acts like a liquid liner but is easy to apply like a pencil.  It’s the best if you want the liquid look quick.  TRY THIS at least once, it’s the most badass eyeliner ever. $16.50 @ MAC.com

5. Hard Candy Walk The Line Liquid Eyeliner in Lace-  This is a super glitter liner.  It’s clear except for the glitter so by itself or over something else it’s amazing.  I like to use it in the inner-corner of the eye for some extreme light reflection.  Glitter is not just for school girls, girls!  I’m super into this stuff right now. $6 @ Wal-Mart.

I wonder if any of you have tried any of these liners…or can suggest really great ones for me to try???  You’ll probably be seeing these again in upcoming tutorials…

For all of you crafty folks or fans, we will be attending BUST Magazine’s Spring Craftacular held on Sunday, May 23rd {the day before my birthday!} at The Warsaw, 261 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY from 11am – 7pm! This is our first Craftacular and we’re totally pumped! We’ll be taking lots of photos, talking to fellow crafters, and, of course, shopping!

What’s a Craftacular, you ask? It’s pretty much the best craft fair this side of the Mississippi, featuring over 50 crafty folks/sellers, DJs, drinks, and even dancing! This year’s vendors include Lollibomb Beauty, Kiva Ford, and tons of other local crafters, selling handmade cosmetics, glass sculptures, recycled notebooks, handmade jewelry, clothing, and so much more. For a full list of vendors, click here. This year’s Craftacular is sponsored by ModCloth, whose indie/retro clothing and accessories we can’t get enough of.

Pink is the New Blonde

I think pink hair is beautiful!!!  (If you pull it off right.)  So is this an everyday color?  No, I guess it isn’t.  Who can pull this off?  Only high school students, hairdressers, rock stars?  I’ve seen it done super well, and I’ve seen it done super bad.  Audrey Kitching and Gwen Stefani both pulled it off…I wonder if I can.  This may be my next hair venture…whatcha think???

Underneath It All.

I’m not one to rock sexy undergarments (I’m sort of a cotton boyshorts kinda girl)  but lately I’ve been inspired by the 30’s and 40’s.  At the salon, we’ve been practicing 30’s and 40’s hairstyles and makeup for an upcoming wedding so I’ve been seeing lots of pictures of starlets and pinup girls.  The silky, lace bodices, corsets and panties they wore back then are super sexy!  Sonia Rykiel created a beautiful line of lingerie for H&M that reminds me of the 30’s.

sonia-rykiel-for-hm-ad-3I’m totally a believer in dressing to make yourself feel good… so maybe we all need to bring a little glamour into our lives with sexy undies, even if we’re the only ones who will see… we’ll know underneath it all, we’re glam hollywood vixens. <3

Tell Me About it, Stud.

Grease has always been one of my all-time favorite movies. When I was little, I remember it used to be on TV every new year’s even and I would stay up to watch the whole thing with my Nana. I would sing and dance along with the Pink Ladies and T-Birds, even though the majority of the lyrics and stunts went right over my young and innocent head. I still really want a Pink Ladies jacket, too.

tell me bout it

Anyway, I love Sandy’s super sexy outfit at the end of the movie. So, my outfit here is inspired by it. It’s not exact, but I wasn’t really going for exact, especially since I don’t have luscious blond locks or red pumps. This Halloween, though, I think I will try for exact. I’d better start trying to convince Stan now to go as my Danny Zuko.
