Red, Gold, and Houndstooth

Red Gold and Houndstooth - poor and pretty

Even though it’s been 8 years (8 years!!!) since I roamed its halls, I’m feeling some high school pride today ~ our colors are red & gold. I’ve been thinking about high school a lot lately. My friend (and prom date) Jordan is getting married next year, and I’m one of her bridesmaids, along with Beata and Brittany, two more New Britain High School alumnae. This past Sunday, the three of us joined Jordan, her sister Kelsey, their mom, and Jordan’s soon-to-be-mother-in-law on a dress shopping excursion. I tried really hard not to, but I definitely cried when Jordan walked out in the first dress (which I suspect may be the one she chooses). I’ve already warned her that I’m going to be a wreck at her wedding. I can’t wait!

Red Gold and Houndstooth 3 - poor and pretty

It was too chilly to take these outside (not to mention we got our first snowfall today!), so I’m being a weirdo, perched atop the cozy couch in our living room. :)

@Suzi – ha! I’ve had it for a long time, but I don’t remember ever buying it, and I know you had one! I can confirm not having any of your nail polish ~ unless you’ve switched to all-vegan polish, too? ;)
