Don’t worry, I won’t turn into your civics/political science teacher and explain all the reasons you should vote and why you should elect the same guy I’m voting for. You’re intelligent. You know it’s important to vote. This is just a friendly reminder that, if you haven’t registered to vote yet, you can do so very easily through Rock the Vote, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower young people to be politically active. They have partnered with over 100 musicians, actors, and stand-up comedians — including Beastie Boys, Christina Aguilera, Dane Cook, Idina Menzel, Jack’s Mannequin, Madonna, Passion Pit, and many many more — to reach youth through music, art, and social media campaigns.
So if you haven’t registered, do it now! Rock the Vote makes it very, very easy. Once you’ve registered, they even tell you where to go to vote. Stan and I both registered through them before our first Presidential Election in 2008.
