Hello readers! First, let me say thank you thank you thank you! to everyone who has generously contributed to my Kickstarter so far – you’ve helped my project to reach its goal! I hit 101% at about 3:30pm EST yesterday, all thanks to you! You have succeeded in helping me take the next great step in growing my cosmetics business. More than that, vending at my favorite magazine’s craft fair has been a dream of mine since I visited the Spring Craftacular for the first time in 2010, a few months before I began selling my cupcake soaps on Etsy and in local boutiques. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to be amongst some truly passionate and talented creators and crafters like myself, who are working hard to live their dreams.
And if you are still interested in contributing (perhaps to do some early holiday shopping?), you can still pledge until 6:11pm EST this evening. I already have a few ideas for additional funding:
- Creating new products to add to the Poor & Pretty line. I have two new products that I’ll hopefully be introducing this fall. Just a few minutes ago, I shared details about them that can only be seen by Kickstarter backers.
- Screen printing my logo onto tote bags for the Craftacular. If they’re popular enough, I might even add them to my Etsy shop!
- Purchasing a tent for vending at outdoor craft fairs. I currently do not have a tent, which severely limits my vending capabilities during prime vending seasons, summer and fall.
And for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, here’s my Kickstarter video:
