Though I had lots of fun at last year’s fantasy-themed murder mystery party, I have to say I enjoyed the costumes at this year’s 1920′s themed party much more, especially my best-costume-winning snazzy, jazzy, slinky pink dress:

I bought it for just $45 from Flashbax on Etsy. I already had shoes to match, which I’d purchased from Peonies Couture and I bought the gloves for around $10 from Amazon. The boa was from a friend’s birthday party, and I made the headband during the headband making pre-party. I love this ensemble so much, I’m tempted to wear it to work! As if my co-workers don’t already think my style is whacky.
Of course the main event of the party {maybe second to my & Suzi’s duet} was the murder:

The death of Don “Big Jim” Ravioli had everyone — except the calm and collected Inspector Neville “The Nose” Nutella — in a tizzy. Acting as the jazz singer Carrie Crooner-Ravioli, the Don was my husband. I was overwhelmed with grief and promptly fainted, to be attended to by the devilishly handsome Al Capone:

Hey, I’ve got to put my acting skills to use somehow! I won’t reveal who the murderer was, so that you can play it yourself if you’re interested. You can purchase the Four Deuces murder mystery dinner party from Dinner and a Murder.
