I discovered Polaroid photographer Grant Hamilton through a Felt & Wire post about the kate spade new york summer portfolio artists, a continuation of ksny’s “year of color.” Grant represents Green/April, and his collection of swirly, colorful, patterned Polaroids caught my eye, and I had to see more! Here are a few of my faves:

What’s really intriguing about his work is that his photos are closeups of “mundane” things like buses, signs, etc. Who knew they could be this beautiful?

Check out more of Grant’s work in his online gallery, and stop by his shop for plexiglass-encased high resolution scans of his Polaroids to display in your home.
P.S. You may notice that this post is categorized as “inspiration,” one of my new categories. I thought I would start posting about things that inspire me… maybe they will spark creativity or adventure in you as well! :)
