Whew! I haven’t been posting lately because school has been tough for me this semester — lots of papers and reading!
In general, I haven’t been writing a whole lot about fashion, but I came up with a new post-theme this morning: Today’s Threads. They will mainly be quick, visual posts about what I’m wearing that day. Though my outfits may not be your typical definition of “fashion,” I do take pride in what I wear and I thought I’d share some of my getups with you. One thing to remember about fashion is that there really are no rules {except, perhaps, not wearing strips and plaid together — though I’m sure someone out there has pulled that off quite nicely}. So, here’s what I wore today. What do you think?

I apologize for the super cliché bathroom mirror pics, but my photographer {Stan} was sleeping. Here’s the outfit:
- Headband: I made myself during my DIY Hair Accessories post.
- Jumper: I found this at Goodwill for $4! It’s originally from Forever 21.
- White shirt: This was around $4-$6 on sale from Old Navy.
- Heart necklace: Mish gave this to me; it’s one of my favorite accessories. I think she bought it a few years ago from Hot Topic.
- White leggings: $8 at Marshalls.
- Rainbow flats: $20 at Famous Footwear, made by Rocket Dog.
So, all in all, this outfit costs less than $40! Now that’s some smart shopping! ;)

LOVE your outfit! Love that jumper. You are adorable!
Hey Sami,
Nice outfit and blog. Watch out for those college guys.
I like the second half of the name of this blog, not the first. Poor is a state of mind, not a virtue. You can actually do MORE good by doing well. (Gates and Buffet will give away $80 BILLION to worthy causes before they’re done!)
