Poor & Pretty’s Cupcake Tea Party on Felt & Wire

fw cupcake tea party

Remember when I wrote about these adorable cupcake invitations for sale on the Felt & Wire Shop {above, bottom row, second image in}? Well, this month I put together an entire collection of my favorite things from this wonderful curated marketplace of paper goodies and, guess what? They published it!

The collection includes sassy letterpress paper coasters from gilah press + design, a notebook designed by AdamsMorioka, a pretty paper garland from papermode, and some gorgeous notecards, among other paper perfect finds, all printed on environmentally conscious paper from Mohawk Fine Papers. Check out my Cupcake Tea Party themed collection at the Felt & Wire Shop! <3

What are some of your favorite paper goods?

  • [...] from cupcake-loving blogger Sami Jensen from Poor & Pretty, who is celebrating the blog’s 100th post with a Cupcake Tea Party collection. Sweet! [...]

  • Sami,

I know that your focus has recently been on cupcakes, but I think that you should take one afternoon and one post to concentrate on muffins. I have always been a fan of muffins and the warm, cozy feeling they can give you when their yummy aroma hits your nose. After seeing your recent post about buying locally grown vegetables and fruits, I think it would be a great idea to customize your own muffin. Think of this as a challenge if you will- can you create a muffin that is not only tasty but that doesn’t come from a box? If you are up to it I would be thrilled to read about and taste the results.

p.s. This was the best option I could find for large baking cups http://www.acmoore.com/p-39071-baking-cups-white-24pkg-king-size.aspx I ended up making mine without them. I greased the pan really well and they came out fine.

  • Joanna, I’m glad to hear your muffins turned out okay! It’s crazy that they don’t really sell baking cups large enough for them — then again, I tend to make muffins the same size as cupcakes, so I never really encountered that problem before. I actually made some really delicious cinnamon & raspberry muffins a few months back — totally from scratch! Even the raspberries were hand-picked from Stan’s grandfather’s garden :)

I’ll make them again soon {they were a big hit with my family anyway} and I’ll post the recipe & pics! Thanks for the suggestion <3
