Hot Mess: Spring Hair on the Runway.

I’ve been looking at industry magazines, videos and all sorts of media on this subject and have come to  a conclusion: messy hair is in this season!!!  Natural, disheveled, organic, romantic, untidy hair!!!  So many designers are showing these styles on the runway this season and it’s absolutely beautiful.

above (Organic by John Patrick) Fluffed up and loosely pinned up…kind of an old school Elain Benes huh?

above (Alexander Wang) This is classic and really pretty, this side braid is loosened up and the bangs are left out and messy then pinned to the side.

above (Lanvin) The messy bun that everyones been talking about, tease that pony tail up as much as possible and twist it high on top of your head.

Then there’s the Marc by Marc Jacobs style  (below) with the big head wrap bow…they leave the fuzzy teased bang out.

This is Chloe…this style is simple and natural and undone.  For this i would use anti frizz or humidity products, finger dry and use a curling iron by wrapping  pieces around the barrel.  You want a very loose wave (not a curl.)

These styles are real life and can be worn on a daily basis.  I LOVE them.  We’re so used to sleek, polished hair that we try so hard to achieve those looks.  I think it’s amazing that we’re pulling away from that a little.  There’s still thought to these looks and effort, but I’m into the fact that you don’t have to try and be perfect with these styles.  If a mistake happens it’s likely to work with the messy look.
