Okay, so you’ve been hearing {reading} that we love cupcakes, but we haven’t necessarily proven it to you. That’s why I’m so excited to announce our first official cupcake party, tonight!
What is a cupcake party, you ask? Our original idea was for Mish & I to get together, make cupcakes, gossip {we’re really good at that}, and enjoy the cupcakes over some steaming cups of tea. Then, while I was receiving some diy graphic design books for Christmas, my big sister Suzi was given a book called Hello Cupcake by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson. A new idea was born.

Our revised version of a cupcake party is this: Suzi picks out a cupcake to make each month from the Hello Cupcake book, and the three of us get together and make & eat them, then blog about it the next day. Suzi’s first choice? Penguin cupcakes.
Going forward, we plan on opening our cupcake parties up to our readers to attend, and when we do we will of course need supersweet invitations. So far, these are my favorite:

Designed by Give Studio, these letterpress invitations are simply delicious. And, best of all, they’re for sale here, on my favorite online paper goods store, the Felt & Wire Shop.
If you live in the Hartford, CT area and you’re interested in attending a future cupcake party, e-mail us!

I had my own cupcake party this weekend!
